This is the Holy Grail combination for Dodge (Ram) pickups. It has the following features: Low miles (132k), Cummins diesel with Bosch P-Pump mechanical fuel injection pump, 4WD, 5-speed manual transmission, long bed, new tires (Michelin Agilis Cross-Climate), nearly instant starting, AC (works great - will freeze you out in most weather), power windows and locks, cruise control, radiator looks new, recent paint, clean pickup bed, no rust at all anywhere, the dash is in very good shape (no cracks on top, a few cracks down low by the ash tray) and I have the Carfax showing a lot of work on it before I bought it. 2022 120k miles - alternator replaced, AC serviced. 2023 124k miles - tie rod ends, lower ball joints, front brakes, batteries replaced. 2023 125k miles - starter replaced. 127k full service with replaced belts. 130k - another full service when I bought it. It has tons of power! My mechanic thinks it has upgraded fuel injectors and an adjustment on the fuel pump. I keep track of mpg. I've filled the 50-gallon tank 6 times since I bought it in April 2024. MPG has been 19.5, 17.3, 18.0, 17.5, and 19.2. Most of that is at 70 mph. It has short gearing (4.10?) which means the engine rpm is 2500 at 75 mph. I bought it to pull an 8000-9000 lb trailer long distances 4-5 times per year. It will pull 15k all day long and probably get 14 mpg doing it. Why am I selling this nearly perfect truck? It has two problems that drive me crazy. The first is I think the fuel injectors are too large for this engine. You can drive it like a grandma and it seems normal with no smoke at all, but if you stomp on the pedal it will fog your neighborhood. Maybe the smoke can be reduced with a simple adjustment of the fuel pump. Some people don't mind this feature of a Cummins diesel with the mechanical fuel pump. There is nothing at all wrong with it. It idles smooth and has tons of power. It starts within one revolution of the engine. I've not had this one in the winter yet, but I've had two other Cummins pickups and am confident that it will start quickly down to -10F without plugging in. (It does have an engine block heater that may have never been used). The 2nd problem is also common for mid-90's Dodge Pickups - the running lights do not work. Per some evidence in the engine bay, I suspect the previous owner chased it and gave up. I've also chased it and gave up. If I kept it, I'd do something crazy and add a separate running light switch tied thru an inline fuse directly to the battery and bypass all the connectors. If you want to buy this truck and drive it home, plan on getting home before dark. I think the exhaust system is original. The shocks have probably been replaced but I don't have any records for it. It drives like a low miles pickup. The topper shown in the photos is included. It "almost" fits the bed. It is about 1/2" too long which leaves an air gap under the back door. The truck was stolen 2/28/2018 and declared a total loss so it has a Salvage title. From looking at the panels and frame, I don't think the truck was seriously damaged. I'll show you when you come see the truck. It was originally maroon and was repainted white.

Fuel consumption at cruise was a creditable 12L/100km and we averaged 14.7L/100km on an on- and off- road test cycle with a half-load on board. The towing economy was huge surprise, showing just how relaxed the big Cummins was with three tonnes behind it: 15.2 L/100km.
