MANTEO — Elizabeth Ann Buzzy Booth, age 86, of Manteo, NC, passed away on May 8, 2024. She was born on August 17, 1937, in Raleigh, NC, to the late Audrey Bailey Buzzy and John Buzzy.
Elizabeth graduated from Granby High School and went on to work as a medical assistant for Dr. F. Martin Luna, a cardiologist in Norfolk, VA. She was known for her love of reading and crafting, finding joy in both hobbies throughout her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles E. Booth, Sr.; daughter, Diane E. Boyce of Kill Devil Hills, NC; son, Charles E. Booth, Jr. (Leslie) of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Jason Adams, Ryan Adams, Kyle Adams, Erinn Dukeman, and Kevin Booth; great-grandchildren, Addison and Brooklynn Dukeman, Hayley, Jeffrey, Riley, and Kamora Adams; brothers, Ernest Buzzy (Caroline) of Virginia Beach, VA, and John Buzzy (Madelyn) of Glen Allen, VA; and brother-in-law, Bobby Ware of Edenton, NC.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Ware.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, VA, with Pastor Frank Lassen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Source Church (PO Box 174, Manteo, NC 27954 or online at sourcechurch.org).
Elizabeth will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and dedication to her family. May she rest in peace.
