We're continuing to work on the download setup within the CDN as we continue to learn all the little intricacies involved in such a complex setup but we're struggling to troubleshoot a lot of people's download speed issues, a lot of the time, because we're not getting the right sort of feedback. For example, simply saying "I'm getting bad download speeds" isn't useful at all for us!
As such, we've coded a small piece of stand-alone software which we've dubbed the Nexus Download Diagnoser. It's a very simple piece of software that will run a download speed test against our CDN server and generate a report for you to post for us to see which will provide us with a lot of information. Hopefully useful information that will help us to understand what is happening and why your download speeds are slow. You do not need to install the software in order to run it and you can download it here. Remember, only download it from a nexusmods.com domain, never from anywhere else.
In the interests of security and privacy we've kept things very simple for you. The Nexus Download Diagnoser will obviously need to be able to connect to the internet so it can run the download speed test (so update your firewall as necessary) but it will not send or report any information automatically to us. If you want to share the information, you'll have to willingly post it to us, and you can see all the information in the report so you know exactly what you're sending us. On top of that we've signed the software with our "Black Tree Gaming Ltd." key, just like NMM, so you know the software is legitimately from us and not from someone malicious and we're releasing the source code of the software with the executable just for your own peace of mind. If you really really don't trust us for whatever reason, you can check the source code yourself!
Hopefully with enough reports we will be able to form a decent picture of what's going on and work towards sorting it out.

Yeah, the program has been taken off-line (as in, "it doesn't work right".)
There's no word on when it might make a reappearance

So it would appear the program doesn't work properly. When running a test I get this:

Calculated speed: 1.2 KB/s.
Maximum instant speed reached: 0 B/sThe program isn't testing the proper file size. Not sure what to do about that but I'm getting about 80 KB/s when downloading a mod when I should be able to get at least half a MB/s.

Last month, I could download a 300mb file for 10 minutes(400kbps) but now, it takes me an hour or so(20kbps).
Where can I report the issue since the thread in the forum is already locked.

So yet I get 30 KB/s max, I let my downloads all night and it's not finish yet.
I should get 1MB/s if I understand right.
So there is any way to fix this or have we to wait ?

Hey, my download speed is really slow for my mods. Anybody know why or how I can fix that?

well i just found out the thing is. if you are not a premium member your speed is capped at 1024kps no matter what your internet speed is and you can not go above this speed when downloading any MODS, unless you want to be a premium member which cost money here is the list to be a premium member.
1 month £2.99 ($4.80 USD)
3 months £8.49 ($13.60 USD)
6 months £14.99 ($23.20 USD)
12 months £24.99 ($39.99 USD)
Life-time membership £49.99 ($79.99 USD)but other then that i do think this place is cool. " but " i don't think they should capped your speed they should it least give more speed then 1mbps it should be more like 20mbps to 40mbps. of course i have way higher speed then this, not to boast but i have a download speed of 330Mbps and upload speed of 60.

sadly i aint even getting that 1024 cap...my last dl back early november was fine, and right now i can not even dl kb size mods.. ii usually stops at 2kb, and then fail.. most i got was 20kb of a 400kb file..

I'm having a problem with the tool itself now! a popup shows up that says "Unhandled exception has occured in your application. if you click Continue, the application will ignore the error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately"
??? I've tried using it with NMM open. NMM closed. No internet tabs open. Nothing is working. I would really like to have my problem diagnosed, as of right now its only downloading at 31 kb
